Dr. Bonnie Lucks, co-founder of Applied DBT Clinicians of San Diego will be presenting a lecture that will give valuable insights on how to incorporate DBT into our lives.  Q&A as time permits.

 

Dr. Bonnie Lucks is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California.  She recieved her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, San Diego; M.A. in Psychology from United States International University, San Diego, and B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles.  Dr. Lucks received her Crisis Intervention Counseling Certification from the University of California, San Diego.   
 
Dr. Lucks has pioneered research on profiling cyberstalkers, and has identified and examined electronic crimes in cyberspace.  She has published and lectured in the field of cyberstalking, electronic crime, and safety on the internet.
 
Dr. Lucks has provided services to the Department of Social Services Child Abuse Treatment Program, YWCA Domestic Violence Unit, New Vistas Crisis Center, provided adult supervision for the Youth-2-Youth Helpline, completed a Doctoral Internship at San Diego State University Counseling and Psychological Services, and postdoctorate fellowship at Alvarado Parkway Institute Behavioral Health Services, providing individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, process and psychoeducational groups, psychological testing, consultation, chemical dependency and relapse prevention, dual diagnosis treatment, stress management, body esteem and disorderly eating, mindfulness, video gaming therapy, and emotional regulation skills..  She has co-organized and co-facilitated children’s groups utilizing art therapy, play therapy, and sand tray therapy to children who were victims or witnesses of domestic violence, at Children’s Hospital Domestic Violence Unit in San Diego.  Dr. Lucks provided crisis intervention and battered women counseling for women for the YWCA Battered Women’s Services in San Diego.  She has participated in the  treatment of children who have been victims of intrafamilial sexual abuse for the Department of Social Services Child Abuse Treatment Program in San Diego.
 
Dr. Lucks is currently in private practice providing psychological services to adults, couples, and adolescents; with concurrent Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Training Groups.  She provides individual Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with Applied DBT Clinicians for adults, couples, and adolescents.  Dr. Lucks is one of the co-founders of Applied DBT Clinicians.
 
Dr. Lucks has participated with Applied DBT Clinicians of San Diego in Dr. Marsha M. Linehan’s 10-day Intensive Training, 2009 with Dr. Shari Manning.  Dr. Lucks has participated with Applied DBT Clinicians in ‘Doing DBT to Adherence and with Competence: An Advanced Course’ with Charles Swenson, M.D.  Additionally, she has training in advanced therapeutic strategies with DBT and eating disorders: ‘Integrating CBT to Treat Eating Disorders into a DBT Program’ with Lucene Wisniewski, Ph.D., FAED.
