Suicide, a frightening and nightmare evoking word.  Bpd global is pleased to host a presentation which will address a subject no one wants to think about. Statistically, 1 of 10 people will commit suicide as a result of BPD. Many more people will have suicidal thoughts which torment them and their families. The more you know about this subject, the better equipped you will be to make safe, rational choices when confronted by this monstrous issue.

Amanda Gutierrez, Psy.D will be our guest speaker. Dr. Gutierrez is president of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and is ideally equipped to address one of the most frightening but least talked about subjects which impact those dealing with BPD. Suicide continues to be part of the diagnosis for Borderline Personality Disorder; in fact, it is the only mental illness that includes suicide in the diagnostic criteria. If you love someone who has BPD, if you suffer with BPD and wonder why you have suicidal thoughts, this is presentation is mandatory. The threat of suicide can immobilize families & leave them unable to make rational decisions. This presentation will provide answers to the most difficult of questions facing those dealing with BPD related suicidal ideations and threats.
